“Love is our true destiny. We do not find the meaning of life by ourselves alone – we find it with another.” -Thomas Merton
The Love of the Trinity is the source of all life. The outpouring of that Love created all things; a love that was so immense it had to be shared.
The Love of the Trinity finds is perfect reflection in the love of the human family. The spousal love, that in its total gift of self becomes the catalyst for new life, expands outward beyond itself, overflowing into the very existence of a new eternal being.
I am created by love. I am sustained by love. I am destined for love.
If we are not motivated by love, what motivation is strong enough?
“In this is Love; not that we loved God, but that he loved us first.” – 1 John 4:10
If we do not understand that we are immensely, specifically, eternally, boundlessly loved by a God who is Love personified, what else is there?
But that’s exactly it. That’s exactly who we are, and why we’re here, and what we’re called to.
Know who you are. Know whose you are. Now lift up your head, and live like it.
